Current trends in the field of repression and prevention of addictive substances behind the wheel
The book is intended for readers who are interested in the topic of the use of addictive substances behind the wheel. It is not only drugs, but also alcohol and some medicinal products, which are not necessarily addictive, but can affect the ability to drive a vehicle.
The text recalls the negative impact of these substances and focuses on creating a brief overview of how their use is manifested in the population of the Czech Republic and the European Union on the roads, in terms of the number of traffic accidents with various serious consequences. Individual chapters and sub-chapters describe the effects of alcohol and drugs on humans and subsequently link them to the effects on the quality of motor vehicle driving. A separate chapter "Drugs behind the wheel" discusses potentially risky groups of medicinal products and at the same time gives examples for better orientation for each group.
