  • In summary, the KDE+ method allows users to analyze their data with a method which is an improvement of the standard Kernel Density Estimation (KDE). The main contributions are a statistical significance test and ranking of resulting significant clusters which is based on their strength. Therefore, this approach is objective and does not depend on users' subjective view.

  • The KDE+ method was first presented by our team in a publication published in Accident Analysis and Prevention in 2013 when applied to traffic accident data. In 2015, we published an article on KDE+ software in Landscape Ecology. KDE+ analysis has also been used in publications in Applied Geography and Biological Conservation.

  • Updates was produced with the financial support of the Ministry of Transport within the program of long-term conceptual development of research organizations.
