The purpose of this methodology is to present a generally accepted interpretation of the control procedure
compliance with legal regulations in social legislation, both in the context of carrying out checks
road, as well as inspections in the premises of carriers. This methodology is primarily intended for
supervisory authorities of the Czech Republic, to improve their professional performance and increase their professional level so that when assessing similar facts and deciding on similar cases, there are no unjustified differences in interpretation and approach on the part of individual supervisory authorities of the Czech Republic. The methodology reflects the state of EU and national legislation as of 31 October 2017.

The updated methodology aims to:

  • specify the scope of carriers and drivers to which the said regulations apply
  • present a generally accepted and illustrative interpretation of these regulations,
  • specify the scope of the basic tachograph check in connection with the use of data for
inspection of the carrier and driver.
