Methodology for assessing the price of the supporting structure and the bridge deck in the whole life cycle

The aim of the methodology is to create a uniform procedure for determining the costs of the superstructure of the bridge and the activities associated with it in all the phases it goes through during its lifetime. In addition to investment and operating (direct) costs, the methodology takes into account equally important user (indirect) costs. It serves to optimize the maintenance and repair strategy with the aim of achieving the desired service life and at the same time minimal or cost-effective costs.

In addition to processing life cycle cost analysis in the project phase, the methodology can also be applied to existing bridge structures, for example in the phase preceding significant repair or reconstruction of the supporting structure and superstructure, or in any other stage of the construction life cycle.
