The purpose of the methodology is to offer an effective tool that allows for fast assessment of transport infrastructure structure conditions and helps to identify spots where the visual inspection or detailed diagnostics needs to be focused on. The measurement is contactless and can be performed without road traffic exclusion. The methodology describes potential uses of infrared thermography, particularly during bridge, pavement, and tunnel condition diagnostics.

The presented methodology was produced within the project TE01020168 – Center for Effective and Sustainable Transport Infrastructure (CESTI), with financial support of the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic within the program National Centers of Competence.
