Long-term impacts of noise changes of low-noise roads for spatial planning
The certified methodology provides up-to-date information and data for evaluating the long-term effects of changes in noise of low-noise road surfaces in relation to ordinary asphalt roads for spatial planning, thereby contributing to the fulfillment of Directive 2002/49/EC. The intention is to financially evaluate the long-term, the degree of reduction in the noise burden of residents and the change in external costs when using low-noise roads so that the life cycle assessment can be used within the spatial planning documentation, including in relation to the assessment of socio-economic impacts.
