The methodology is designed as a detailed description of the application of the AlgaTox device developed within the framework of the above-mentioned project and contains an introduction to the issue of environmental pollution assessment using devices based on a biosensor, including a comparison of the novelty of the procedure with previously published information, a description of the device, the measurement principle, the measurement procedure, and a substantial part is devoted to the evaluation of the results.
The device based on the AlgaTox biosensor principle indicates the environmental load of pollutants and can significantly simplify the process of assessing the impact on living organisms. Its advantage is a fast response to measured quantities (several hours) while maintaining the same informative capacity as classic laboratory procedures.
