The methodology for the creation of Road Traffic Safety Strategies of cities/municipalities (hereinafter referred to as the "City BESIP Strategy") is a recommendatory document intended to help cities/municipalities systematically address road traffic safety in their territory through the creation of the BESIP Strategy of their city/municipality. It is based on identified problems in the field of BESIP and offers a modern systematic solution. It is a local BESIP strategy (only the cadastral territory of the city/municipality is addressed) for a medium-term period of 10 years with a societal impact. The elaborated action plan then helps municipalities to fulfill the set goals in the area of reducing the severity and number of traffic accidents when implementing specific measures. The results of the strategies have an impact on the safety of all road users, both on the safety of people arriving in the city/municipality, as well as business entities based in the city/municipality.
