Publication type

The methodology presents the theoretical and practical procedure for applying a modern approach to road infrastructure safety impact assessment (RSIA). It is the final output of the DOPAD project (Development of support tools for road infrastructure safety impact assessment) and draws on research and experience gained during its implementation.

The methodology is intended primarily as a practical guide, so it does not contain, for example, a detailed description of the development of accident prediction models or measures' effectiveness values. This information is available in other CDV methodologies, listed in the bibliography (chapter VI). Additional data can also be found in continuously published outputs, which are listed in the bibliography and are also available on the project website dopad.cdvinfo.cz . The website will continue to serve as a continuously updated and supplemented information source. A supporting computational application is also available on the website.
