In the Methodology, we address the topic of performing non-driving activities in the context of two levels of automation (L3 and L4), specifically from the perspective of safety, or rather riskiness of different types of activities. Performing appropriate activities can keep the driver occupied and also make effective use of his time, while inappropriate activities could, in extreme cases, increase the risk of human error due to poor-quality takeover or insufficient driving performance, thereby minimizing the gains related to autonomous mobility.
