With the expansion of systems dependent on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), it is also necessary to detect their possible interference. This can in principle affect the functionality of such systems, so it is necessary not only to detect the presence of interference, but also to localize it for the purpose of eliminating its sources. The toll system is based on the correct functioning of the GNSS receiver located in the vehicle. Intentional interference of the GNSS signal causes the system to stop working properly and may lead to incorrect toll collection or loss of information about the vehicle's movement.

The methodology was created based on the results of research and development of a system for detecting, identifying and localizing sources of interference with GNSS signals on roadways with the aim of providing relevant data to enforcement agencies.
