Unauthorized entry of persons into the railway area is a serious and very extensive problem in the Czech Republic, which results in around 200 victims per year and also damage to the railway infrastructure. One of the measures to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons into the track are the so-called anti-trespass panels, which are becoming more and more popular in the world. The methodology of using impassable mats to prevent unauthorized entry of persons into the runway area summarizes:

  • Implementation options and functions of measures
  • Typical places of use
  • Installation conditions in terms of functionality and safety for users
  • Installation conditions in terms of track operation

This methodology was developed on the basis of the results of the project Research into the possibility of using impassable mats for the prevention of unauthorized entry of persons into the railway area (ISPROFOND 5006510011), which was implemented with the support of the State Transport Infrastructure Fund as part of the New Technologies program.
