This publication deals with the issue of railway vehicles running past a "Stop" signal (SPAD) as a dangerous phenomenon, to which specific parameters of railway infrastructure can contribute in many cases. Combining technical and psychological approaches, the book analyses ten selected signal locations, including places with repeated occurrences of extraordinary events and locations with a high potential for risk. The chosen approach is based on tools for creating safe transport infrastructure, which have been used for decades in road quality management and are adapted here to railway conditions.
