The publication aims to map and describe the current system of (psychological) post-accident care in the Czech Republic. It is based on interviews with experts from various fields of this issue. Thematically, it focuses on short-term, medium-term and long-term post-accident care, from the provision of psychological first aid and crisis intervention to long-term psychosocial support and therapy. It provides an insight into this issue from the perspective of the integrated rescue system, healthcare professionals, workers of non-profit organizations, crisis centers, volunteer associations, traffic psychologists and therapists. The publication also identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the system and offers suggestions for its improvement.
